Okay, so they put me in this crazy costume and I walked around... what's the big deal? They made me wear a monkey suit- literally- because apparently I liked to hang upside down when I was a baby. The good news was that is was super warm, even though Halloween night was in the 60s. I loved the big feet on the thing, great to bend over and stick in my mouth. We bundled up the night before the big event and went to ZooBoo, tons of kids and mom loaded up on candy. The actual night of Halloween I went to a few of the other resident's houses and the neighbors. You can see from one of the photos, Charlotte and I were more interested in watching the action on the street with all of the other trick-or-treaters. No candy for the Caroline, but I managed a few books and toys. I think I'm going to like this holiday...

Chicago, My Kind of Town
Mom and Dad decided it was time for another road trip... thanks for getting engaged Aunt Anne and allowing us to come to Chicago to celebrate. It was a whirlwind trip, but I did have a chance to meet some very special people. I got to have a slumber party at the Kalmii house with my buddy Henry. He let me share his toys and we got to have a quick dinner together. My mom and his mom swear we are going to prom together someday....
Saturday morning we woke up and it was time for more driving. This time it wasn't as long, only an hour north to Grayslake. I had all kinds of fun people waiting for me there... Grandma Kathy and Grandpa John drove up so that I could stay with them at my Great-Grandma Lois' house on Saturday. She's my namesake, Lois Whitefield, so it was important to meet her. Carolyn, my second cousin 3 weeks younger than me, was there as well. We played, tried to share and mostly stared one another down. It was a great night, and I know my parents enjoyed having a big night out to themselves! Congrats Auntie Anne and Uncle Paul!
Sunday my grandparents dropped me off in the city at the Kalmii house... we got back in the car and 8 hours later we were home. Wow what a weekend! Non-stop action!
All Of My KC Fans
I traveled to Kansas City with mom in the middle of October. While I was there, I got to see so many of my old friends and family. We had dinners with Madi and Pal. Georgia Boyd threw a Halloween party, got to test out my costume. Mom even went to Liberty to catch up on the latest gossip with her teaching buddies. The Harris crew just happened to be in town, so I got to see my good friend Lillian and Avery as well. We talked up our clothes options for Macumba. I wasn't totally used to the time change, but I was an angel on the plane... big perk for everyone involved. All of mom's friends stopped by to see how much I had grown, and best of all, Auntie Allison flew in from Dallas. It was so much fun to be back in my old stomping ground. Hope to be back soon!

Pumpkin Patch
Seeing as all of my other blog/online friends have Pumpkin Patch updates, felt like I needed to add in my own. Up here in Erie, we go to Port Farms. It is about 30 minutes south in the real country. There is a huge slide you can go down, tried it with both parents and thought it was a hit. Then there is this super-cool corn bin where you can dig and bury things - like people. I think mom and dad enjoyed the corn bin better than me, I'm sure next year that will change. We managed to find the perfect Caroline-sized pumpkin and now it is sitting on my front steps... ready for tonight! Happy Halloween!
