An eERIE October

t

Another month filled with non-stop action at the Palmer house. We started off the month celebrating Anne Becker and Paul Wierbicki's wedding in Evansville, IN. It was a terrific long weekend - Caroline-free - thanks to her grandparents in Indy. It was a fantastic event and we got to reconnect with so many good friends!

Then we took a quick trip to KC. We haven't been there since June and it was just time to go. Caroline was her usual rock-star self on the airplane. We are such a big girl now I didn't take the stroller along for the airport trek. The Detroit Airport has the coolest tunnel that connects the terminals. Complete with lights, sounds and moving walkways. Moving walkways, Caroline's newest addiction. I finally became that parent riding back and forth on them to keep her entertained. Hey, if that is all it takes... totally worth the ride!

While in KC, we got to connect with the usual family and friends. Caroline put on a show for everyone and was so thrilled to have a very special (yet super-quick) visit from Auntie Allison. She had a great time playing with everyone and showing off her newest tricks.

Then it was time for Halloween. Erie decided to stay warm throughout the month which is key - read, no snow. Caroline was a ladybug and got to wear her borrowed costume - thanks Garriott family - a few times, even though she HATED putting it on. We went to Zoo Boo and found out that Caroline loves the dance floor, wonder where that comes from... she literally would drag her dad onto the floor just when he thought she had had enough. It was hilarious - and probably the worst music ever, think 80s wedding songs gone bad. We went trick or treating on the big day with our friends the Sobolewski's. Caroline didn't really get it at first, but once her pumpkin started filling up with treats she realized this wasn't such a bad idea!

Seriously, September already?

Wow what a summer! It never got super hot - except of course when my grandparents were in town visiting. Sorry Madi and Pal...

In August, my mom decided she needed to go back to work. The office my dad works in needed some extra help in the front, so mom thought that would be the perfect fit. And wouldn't you know it, it was! She helps check in patients, schedule appointments and confirm insurance plans for ENT patients. It is great to get her out of the house, and she gets to see my daddy once in a while.

I get to go to Miss Debbie's house. Mom found her and I couldn't be happier. I have lots of friends there and we make all kinds of cool projects. You should see some of the art my house has because of my incredible craft skills! All in all, the new schedule is really working out well for all of us. Mom and I get to hang out in the morning then I play/nap all afternoon. What could be better?

I did have Auntie Thornhill visit again, she broke her two hour record on the Erie Half Marathon. I stayed at home and cheered in my sleep for her!

We also got to celebrate my good friend Meredith's first birthday. It was so much fun. A terrific backyard party complete with cake. I had to help show Meredith how to eat her cake, but she figured it out pretty quickly.

It really has been a pretty fall. I'm enjoying being able to move on my own, and I'm getting faster. Now I'm really jabbering and have mastered a few important words like Mommy and Daddy.
