Christmas Time All Around

Looks like all of my other blog friends have been telling about the Christmas experiences, I need to get typing... sorry to keep you in suspense. As most other kids, my holiday were terrific. Lots of time with family and friends plus all kinds of new experiences. In December I got to sit on the big guy's lap TWICE in one day. I was into the Santa thing, and by the afternoon visit I was an old pro. He asked me what I wanted, but I wasn't too keen on making noises... so I just did a cute, confused look.

Then the next week, we had carolers at our house! The neighbors on the next block organize themselves each year to come and sing. I loved the visitors and treated them to some cookies mom and I had made earlier. We were definitely their favorite house, and I got to stay up later than usual to hear the songs. Maybe I'll sing with them next year?

Finally you can see me going to sleep in my Pack N Play down in Puerto Vallarta. Now that's the way to celebrate a first Christmas... I'll have to write another blog to give you all of those details. I think I like this Christmas thing, especially the tissue paper!

My Indy Family

Let me introduce you to my Palmer-side family. This is my Aunt Budi, she's Tim's wife and I was fascinated with her dark hair. She's a terrific cook, from what my parents tell me, and I can't wait to get a little older and try some! Uncle Doug is eating a s'more. He seems to build a fire each time I'm in Indy, just an outdoorsy kind of guy. Uncle Doug would turn himself into a complete weirdo for me, and I loved every minute. I'm sure he'll teach me to throw a baseball early on, so I won't throw like a girl! Uncle Joe and Uncle Tim are in the middle picture. As you can see, I tolerate just about anything - even getting my cheeks pinched by Tim. Joe seemed to make lots of funny faces and we played with all kinds of toys for hours on the floor! Auntie Erin is one of my best fashion advisers. She has found all kinds of cute outfits to spoil me, what a great lady. Best of all are my grandparents, Grandma Kathy and Grandpa John. They haven't had a little girl around - EVER - so I'm quite a handful for them. I know I'll get them to a dance recital yet, and they have happily embraced the color pink, on my behalf. I love my Palmer family!

Erie Thanksgiving

Mom and Dad hosted a Thanksgiving feast at our house the Saturday before the real holiday. We had lots of interns and their families show up. Best of all, everyone brought something super yummy to eat. I had my usual Sweet Potato and Turkey out of a jar, but I heard from the folks that the food options were fantastic. A few kids were here and played downstairs. I might have already been asleep when they were playing, but I'm sure my bed time will be stretched out a little more next year. Dad had fun using his surgeon skills on the turkey, check him out in the pictures! It was a terrific evening for all of us, bring on November 2009!

I'm A Fish!

Saturday mornings I get to go to the YMCA and swim. That's right, no Child Watch for me, I get to actually participate. Being able to float along with mom and dad is the best. I swim on my tummy, back (don't love it) and side (kind of). There are lots of other kids in the class, so I spend most of the time just watching them. We sing songs, chase water toys and splash around. It is great fun, and my teacher Miss Sara is the best!
